Natural smoked haddock is typically cold-smoked over oak or another hardwood, which imparts a subtle, smoky flavour. The fish is usually lightly salted before smoking, enhancing its taste without overpowering it. Unlike dyed smoked haddock, which has a bright yellow colour due to food colouring, natural smoked haddock retains its original, pale colour with a slightly golden hue from the smoking process.
Natural smoked haddock is a classic and flavourful fish that is enjoyed in many traditional dishes. The smoking process gives the haddock a distinctive flavour while preserving its natural texture and juiciness.
We recommend fresh fish to be consumed straight away, or within 3 days. Store in your refrigerator and pack with ice if possible. To freeze: place the fish straight in the freezer upon delivery and consume within 3 months.
Due to product availability and market conditions we may send Frozen Fish. This product may be dispatched frozen and begin to Thaw in transit, Although all our orders are packed properly we can not guarantee items will be fully frozen upon delivery. Therefore might not be suitable for home freezing.
